ETN - Fragen & Antworten

Polyurethanes, which also make up our buffers, are conditionally resistant to hydrolysis.
In the normal temperature and humidity range, a very long service life (10-20 years) is to be expected.
Increased temperatures and high humidity sometimes significantly reduce the service life. Care should be taken that the parts are not in the water; ideal is good ventilation.
Currently ball bearings are equipped with 2 metal sealing rings which cover the balls. With the 2RS seal, the balls are sealed with rubber lips.
The Desmodur 15 used in the material Vulkollan®, tends to discolour when exposed to UV rays. This has no effect on the quality of the material. Measurable values do not change. This discoloration is a trademark of Vulkollan®.
The minimum order value is 30 Euro net (value of goods).
Is an elastic highly wear-resistant material, which was and is used in the elevator industry instead of the originally used leather. The sliding properties required here are only achieved by massive lubrication. In principle, PU is a friction material (friction) and therefore not an ideal application for sliding guides but rather for roller coverings. Like all rubber-elastic materials, PU has good damping properties, but only a low compressive strength of 0.5 N / mm².
The guarantee period of the buffers is 5 years.
The lifetime is much higher in our experience. These are maintenance free, but they should undergo a periodic visual and mechanical inspection (screwdriver inspection!) As part of the inspection and maintenance of the safety components. If the geometry of the buffer has visibly changed or show signs of decomposition due to brittleness or crumbling on the surface, it must be replaced. Color changes of the buffers from white to brown are material-related and have no influence on the technical and physical properties of the ETN buffers.
The PECU insert has a complete separation between the insole and the shoe. This is not the case with the PEC deposit.
Is a large group of hard plastic materials with good sliding properties, but unfavorable damping behavior, it transmits sound. In any case, a lubrication will be necessary for the application, since otherwise, albeit in less cases than PU, sticking behavior after service life is available. The compressive strength of these materials is 1.0 N / mm².
It is a very hard extremely slippery material, which is used in industry for transport systems. The PE used in elevator construction is a high-molecular-weight low-density polyethylene with a molecular weight of more than 10 million. Due to the high compressive strength of 10 N / mm², it can be used as a normal sliding guide for cab and counterweight, especially for heavy duty Cargo lifts are used. An additional improvement of the sliding properties are achieved by a peeled surface and additives by MoS. The sliding properties are so favorable that the friction coefficients in the unlubricated state far surpass those of the PU and PA materials. Since PE is also a hard material that transmits sound well, we have placed a Cell VU spacer for the slideways to break the sound bridge between the shoe and the insert, making the slide silent and at the same time mobile.
The hardness of roller coverings is normally measured in Shore A. We distinguish soft castors with 65 ° and 80 °, hard castors with 93 ° and 96 ° Shore. Soft wheels are strongly sound-absorbing but only slightly resilient. As the shore hardness increases, the rollers become louder but more resilient.
If the order is received Mon-Thu by 12:00 and Fri until 10:00 o'clock and the goods are in stock, we arrange a dispatch on the same day.
Tighten the spring by approx. 40% (approx. 3-4 mm way), then the ideal contact pressure is given.
Individual adjustments are possible at any time in order to achieve the comfortable, quiet ride that is ideal for every lift without having to catch at the same time.
